(Bulked continuous filament) is called a carpet yarn and it’s used in Tufe
carpets. It is preferred due to its processing speed, ease of use and its
antibacterial and antistatic properties. Compared to CF, features such as
absorption, swelling flexibility are more prominent. It’s used in furniture
upholstery and outdoor clothing. In the BCF polypropylene yarn production
technique air jet texturing unit is used as the most important distinguishing
feature. The yarn is delivered to the required temperature by air and textured.
Air is supplied to each textural jet through a separate conduit and heat is
maintained by thermostats.
